We Have Moved

In 38 years, we had moved premises just once to the location in Thomas Street, Stretford. We have since outgrown that branch and the time was right for further expansion.

We at Henshaws are delighted to announce that our Stretford branch has moved to new premises at Second Avenue, Trafford Park, Manchester. Our new branch has twice the yard space, 3 times the warehouse space and 5 times the Trade Counter and Office space that we previously enjoyed. You will still have the same fantastic service you currently receive from our experienced team along with competitive pricing. However, we are now able to carry a much greater range of stock.

Henshaws and BMF

Henshaws have been longstanding members of the BMF, who are one of the UK’s leading construction industry bodies. With over 900 members from builders’ merchants to construction manufacturers and construction service providers. The BMF provide a range of training and development programmes for many construction workers as well as being the voice of the industry with regular dialogue with local and central government.

In April 2023, Henshaws Managing Director, Adrian Shelley was appointed as the BMF Regional Chairman for the Northwest region. The role involves supporting all of the BMF members in the Northwest to ensure every member gains the maximum benefit from their BMF membership. The role also requires supporting the national BMF team in meetings with politicians to lobby for improvements in building standards and environmental issues.

Updates to our Fleet

As part of our continued commitment to operate with as little impact on the environment as possible, we have invested in a fleet of new wagons with modern Euro 6 engines. These engines are the most environmentally friendly on the market with vastly reduced CO₂ emissions compared to older models. This also means Henshaws are ready for the roll out of the Manchester Green Air Zone with a modern fleet that complies with the requests set on in the Manchester Green Air Plan. The new wagons also help our customers with new crane off-load systems providing a better reach on site to help customer store product on site more carefully.
